Through the efforts of Senator Carl Levin, the Old Tiger Stadium Conservancy (OTSC) was awarded a grant from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development in part to promote commercial redevelopment in the area of the former Tiger Stadium Site. With a portion of the HUD grant, the OTSC seeks to assist entrepreneurs and small business owners by encouraging economically sound and sustainable developments. Zachary & Associates, Inc. serves as grant administrator, consultant, and liaison for the OTSC and grant recipients.

The OTSC is dedicated to the sustainable redevelopment of the Old Tiger Stadium site and the revitalization of the Corktown area. Developments funded by the OTSC grant will result in more jobs, increased tax base, improved storefronts, and contribute to the revitalization of the Corktown Commercial District.

As of April 15, 2015:

Part-time jobs created: 81-91

Full-time jobs created: 118

Construction jobs created: 135

OTSC investment in building stock: $363,689
